AMANDA VOISARD
Amanda Voisard is a visual journalist who specializes in social-issue short-form multimedia projects. Voisard was a member of the 2022 Pulitzer Prize winning team from The Washington Post for public service. She currently works as the Climate Change Photo Assignment Editor at The Washington Post.
Outside of her work on the climate desk, she continues to work as a photo contributor to communications outlets. She holds contracts as a video producer at The World Bank and multimedia producer on retainer for UN Women. She is a former staff multimedia producer for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, staff photographer at the United Nations headquarters where she documented the secretariat and traveled abroad as a personal photographer to the Secretary-General. Today she is working to complete her M.A. in Global Environmental Policy at American University and holds an MS in multimedia photography from Syracuse University, Prior to this, Voisard was a member of the photo staff at The Palm Beach Post.

Allison Shelley
Allison Shelley is an independent documentary photographer based in Washington D.C., focused primarily on health and social justice issues as they relate to women worldwide.
She is co-founder and co-director of the non-profit Women Photojournalists of Washington (WPOW), recent adjunct faculty member of the graduate programs of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and at the Corcoran College of Art and Design at George Washington University, former director of photography/chief photographer for Education Week newspaper and past staff photographer for The Washington Times.

Sarah Grile is a photojournalist, videographer and editor. She launched her photojournalist career at Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers and The Palm Beach Post in Florida before moving to West Africa to cover educational challenges in Liberia. During the Ebola outbreak, she helped produce a series of short documentaries about Ebola survivors. She stayed in Liberia throughout 2015 to document the response and the aftermath of the outbreak producing several more documentaries and photo essays for UNICEF.

Andrew Hida is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California who takes a decisively documentary approach to nonfiction storytelling for editorial publications and brands. Recently, he directed and produced Im/Perfection, a short film about architectural design and hand renderings that premiered at the Hawaii International Film Festival. His work has been recognized by World Press Photo, the Katherine Schneider Journalism Award for Excellence in Reporting on Disability, the National Press Photographers Association, and The San Francisco International Festival of Short Films.

Elena holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights. While working two years at the Mayor’s Office of Bogota, Colombia, she has helped to increase civic engagement and articulation between communities, public entities and the private sector by working to reduce conflicts and to increase civic participation. Through these experiences, she developed strong project coordination and implementation skills. Additionally, she has assisted with communication strategies such as campaigns social memories, websites and e-journals to make visible the social issues being transformed as well as to invite the citizens to be part of the change.
She worked in 2015 with the Swedish NGO Diakonia, designing and writing profiles reviews of the candidates for the National Award for the Defense of Human Rights in Colombia. She also volunteered for one year with the National Indigenous NGO in Colombia and with “École de la Paix” in France in 2010. She has close to 6 years of experience teaching culture and languages to both children and adults at the primary, secondary and university levels.
